Sunset Design is also responsible for the overall management and staffing for work requirements. We oversee the staffing of classroom instructors, quality control support staff, and IT personnel. Managerial duties include scheduling, budgeting and booking travel, processing travel claims, and managing the access for contractor personnel who perform work on Government installations for both CONUS and OCONUS. We also conduct research and facilitate ACE accreditation and the overall management of course materials, as well as analyze all student feedback in regards to course content, training, and instructors.
Sunset Design's Instructor team members are well-respected in the NAVFAC contracting environment and use their vast NAVFAC experience and contracting knowledge to give the students the most effective use of NAVFAC's specific BMS processes. These team members provide timely, well-written updates to classroom material as needed, and prepare all materials for the print shop. All course content is meticulously reviewed and must pass through multiple rounds of quality assurance upon each update. The instructing skills of Sunset Design's Instructor team are highly valued, and new Government Instructors have been required to shadow our Instructors to observe and learn their duties and teaching methods.
As of 2020, Sunset Design is also responsible for Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) through Microsoft Teams. This includes performing tasks before, during, and after the course offering - such as managing online registration, preparing and distributing course materials, scheduling virtual classrooms and breakout groups, providing day-of technical support, monitoring and reporting class attendance, graduating eligible students, and facilitating post-course evaluations.
